Grants change very frequently, at present the grants currently available Nationally and/or starting in 2011 are for Match funding, Training for Leaders, Managers and Key/Principle decision makers, and also Business Critical Training. The funding is dependent on the region of the UK you are in, If you would like to check if you are eligible for any funding please see contact details below. Please be aware this is a FREE NO OBLIGATION SERVICE to check eligibility, and in most cases the application process is also free or on a no win no fee basis.
Decipher UK Ltd is now a LandSkills Delivery Partner in the East of England. The LandSkills grant will support training (with the exception of legislative training) for a trainee working for any company of any size within Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Essex which is wholly dependent on Agriculture and farming. Examples such as Agricultural machinery and tractors, Farmers and Growers, Agricultural contractors, Farm Employees, Small Scale food business, young men and women entering farming and people/businesses engaged in economic activity relating to rural crafts and heritage skills. Key industry sectors that are also included are Livestock, Arable and non food crops, production horticulture, food (in relation to supply chain) and rural craft and heritage skills.
There is also funding available through the LandSkills grant for companies with less than 10 employees in a selection of eligible rural wards if they are tradesman, public houses, regional & speciality regional food retailers, farm produce related companies, garages, post offices, vets, green technology companies, conservation and land management and small scale tourism attractions.
All training must be completed by end of March 2012. Once a company has been cleared as eligible you can make as many applications as you wish for the life of the grant for as much eligible training as you wish, and there is no stipulation on seniority of students (as long as they are over the age of 16 and 50% of their working time is spent working on the land or land based industries). Approval time is around 3 weeks, and the best thing is there is no claim back or rebate for you to get your grant, you only pay the % of the training cost that the grant scheme does not cover! The grant available – dependant on sector, training level and company size is up to 70% of training costs!
You also get to choose your own training provider. If you are interested and think you may be eligible please contact Leanne Hindle on lhindle@decipheruk.com or 0844 5040077. Decipher UK are also looking for training providers who can supply and provide training to the eligible sectors who may be interested in utilising the grant to boost training figures and interest......
